It is incommunicable the rawness that met the first colonizers, in the wild vegetation and free grasslands. The pure wilderness was never before seen, not in the green, blue-green, orange, red, and yellow. The fertility of the land exclaimed in a spread out uneven spread, and pervaded every view in every angle. The indeterminateness of the land and all it carries, the grasses, bushes, trees, birds, and animals spoke highly of a reality long forsaken; unwilling to be recalled at once, it demanded observation, documentation, not taming, yet cultivation. The wilderness did not beckon so loudly, for it was a unity of vision that brought the colonizers here. Despite popular belief, it was not to colonize that unified the colonizers, as is popularly documented by historians, but a need to leave behind something already forgotten, a need to embrace the dream already fully formed, a need to begin, free.

It was not understood that there were already humans on this land.  For a long time, this conundrum will settle about the minds of the settlers, raising question, elevating efforts of reconciliation.  A civilization was neither left behind nor brought here, for the unifying dream was to begin anew. The notion of a state did not yet emerge, not a new state, but a new life in a new land. Parts and pieces that formed in the midst of the old civilization or civilizations did succeed in being carried over in cargo and trunks, in minds and hearts. These were to be like seeds in the new land, to take life and grow, to spawn and disseminate, to distribute and bear fruit.

In a way, it was fortune that could become destiny, which was to realize and to be, with the transforming of the lives of those who would voyage and settle.

in the works: AGENDA and Alternate File

The idea that we can improve our country has re-emerged in national consciousness. We must tend to and add to this mentality. Part of this rebuilding has to do with strengthening our country from within.  Our expertise is everywhere now, distributing across the country and into the world. This happened not as a random event, but in subsequence to decisions we made and agreed to.  We believe in a better world, in the new world, and this we have believed in deeply and profoundly throughout our history of  generations of men and women. So it is that we have invested in our country and the world in this way, undertaking impossible tasks and distributing knowledge everywhere.

Now is a good time to reflect on and reinforce the force of our belief and the force of our will, and so also reinvest in our capacities. In time we shall see the turning of our world, not only in this country, but across the globe, for it takes time to see outcomes result from our efforts, and deeply and widely our efforts have been and gone.
